When using Desktop SSO with OneLogin in a Windows environment, users may be automatically logged into an unintended account while using the Firefox browser.

This behavior typically occurs:

• When multiple Windows domain accounts exist on the same machine
• When connected to VPN
• When using Firefox specifically

Other browsers such as Chrome or Edge authenticate correctly and do not exhibit this issue.

The issue is caused by Firefox retaining or mismanaging cached identity and authentication data.

Key contributing factors include:

• Firefox maintaining outdated or previously cached Windows identity information
• Difficulty distinguishing between multiple user identities on the same system
• Browser specific handling of authentication and session data
