OneLogin - Certificate cannot be deleted and no error shown in UI upon clicking on DELETE

A certificate remains visible in the system even after attempting deletion.The deletion action does not complete, and the certificate continues to exist.The system may return a backend error during the deletion attempt.The certificate may show no applications assigned, yet deletion still fails.

The certificate is actively associated with a Trusted Identity Provider configuration.The association exists in settings related to signed assertions within the TIDP configuration.During deletion, the system attempts to update or remove the certificate reference from the TIDP.The deletion process fails because the certificate is still linked to the TIDP configuration.

The certificate reaches a deletable state only when it is no longer associated with any Trusted Identity Provider configuration.Removing or eliminating the TIDP configuration that references the certificate clears the dependency.Once the association is no longer present, the system no longer needs to update or nullify the TIDP reference during deletion.This results in successful removal of the certificate without errors and ensures the certificate is fully deleted from the system.

A certificate may still have dependencies even when no application assignments are shown. Trusted Identity Provider associations are not always visible alongside application usage indicators.
