• The pGina service process remained active in the background and held application files, preventing successful uninstall
• The uninstall process was executed without administrative privileges, causing permission errors

Install the latest OneLogin Desktop Pro version 

• Action: Download and install version from the tenant under Devices → OneLogin Desktop → Download Desktop Installer

Stop the pGina service before uninstalling the application

• Action: Ensure the pGina service process is fully stopped and not running in the background before initiating uninstall

Run uninstall commands with administrative privileges

• Action: Execute the uninstall process (for example, using PowerShell or msiexec) in an elevated session with administrator rights

Re-attempt uninstall and deployment process after applying the above steps

• Action: After stopping services and using elevated permissions, run the uninstall and reinstall process again
• Result: The uninstall completes successfully and the updated version can be installed without errors
