Description
There is a need to understand the behavior of the password reset link generated through the Forgot Password email template. Specifically:
- The duration for which the reset link remains valid
- Whether the link can be used multiple times
- Whether the link behavior can be customized
Cause

The behavior of the Forgot Password reset link is controlled by OneLogin system design. The link properties are defined internally and are not exposed for tenant-level configuration.
Resolution

The Forgot Password reset link is valid for a limited time window (approximately 15 minutes) for security purposes.

The link is single-use. Once accessed, it cannot be reused.If the link expires or is already used, a new password reset request must be initiated.

The behavior of the reset link cannot be modified.

Only the email template content can be customized.
Additional Information

Short expiration and single-use behavior are implemented to enhance security and reduce the risk of unauthorized access. Differences in observed behavior may occur if the link expires before being accessed or if multiple requests are generated. Any changes to this functionality would require a product enhancement request through official feedback channels.
