A user was unable to complete multi-factor authentication for OneLogin using a mobile device.
The issue was caused by incorrect time synchronization on the mobile device.
The device was not configured to use Network Time Protocol through the service provider, which resulted in a time drift. This caused generated MFA codes to fall out of sync with the OneLogin service.
The issue was resolved by configuring the mobile device to use automatic network time synchronization.
Steps taken:
After correcting the time settings, MFA authentication succeeded without further issues.
