OneLogin - Office 365 v2 One Click Domain Federation Setup
Description

A customer attempted to configure a new Office 365 v2 application in ONELOGIN for a new domain. During setup, the one click federation option failed and returned an error, preventing the configuration from completing.
Cause

Domain federation was not in a Managed state prior to starting the process. Non-domain admin credentials were used to try and complete the configuration.
Resolution

The one click tool is used to configure the application. This step automatically converts the domain from Managed to Federated using ONELOGIN. Your domain must be in a Managed state before starting the configuration.

The setup must be performed using a Microsoft Global Administrator account. This level of access is required for the one click tool to make domain level changes. Without Global Admin permissions, the setup will fail.
Additional Information

Using a private or incognito browser window is recommended to avoid issues caused by cached credentials.
