Your OneLogin account comes with a standard set of reports. If your current OneLogin subscription supports it, you can customize these reports and even create new ones from scratch.
All reports can be found under Activity > Reports. Making a new report is as simple as clicking on New Report.
Who can run reports?
Reports are available to super admins and only if your OneLogin subscription includes reporting. Note that on some plans you may only be able to run the standard reports.
A report is based on a Report Type, which defines a data set in OneLogin. There are four different Report Types to choose from.
Note: Timestamps in reports are in GMT.
You use natural language to express dates for conditions that are dates or timestamps. The date can either be an exact date such as December 3, 2010 or it can be a relative date such as 3 months ago. Here are some examples:
- December 3, 2000
- This week
- This month
- 30 days ago
- 3 months ago
- 2 weeks ago
- 6 hours ago
Every report type has a predefined set of columns that can be included in the report. After you save the report, you can add columns by selecting a column in the dropbox shown below.
New columns will be added to the far right of the table. You can remove columns by selecting the drop-down arrow next to the column header. You can group your data by field by selecting Group by this field from the drop-down.
The report can be sorted by a column's value in either ascending or descending order.
By default, reports are limited to 5000 rows. In all cases, you can use the Row Limit field to lower the limit. For the Users Details report type, you can use the Row Limit field to raise the limit (by entering a number greater than 5000).
Lowering the limit is useful if you want to generate "Top 10" types of reports. For example, a report with the 10 most recently signed-in users would have the Last logged in field sorted in descending order and a row limit of 10.
Download CSV file
You can download the current review report view as a CSV file and import it into Excel or Google Spreadsheets for further processing. Click the Download CSV button on the report page.
Email CSV file when user base exceeds 5000
If you request a user report and your account exceeds 5000 users, OneLogin sends a CSV file to your email address instead of delivering the report online. A message dialog prompts you to request the email. If your user base exceeds 5000, user reports are sent as emails rather than delivered online regardless of the number of users included in the report itself. This functionality is designed to optimize system performance.
