Some of our users may not immediately recognize the purpose of each app. They know to look for a Support Ticketing System, but not for Zendesk. I can mangle the title a bit, but it would be useful to explain a bit more in a small paragraph below the item.

Would a tool tip help?
Tooltips would help, but it's a bit of a cop-out. :) It requires the user to hunt through all the items until they see a tooltip that seems like the one they want. Tooltips also take a second or two to appear.
